ECGC
ECGC – European Career Guidance Certificate project (2007-2009) will develop a standardised certified exam for European career guidance counsellors using distance learning based on 35 international competence standards previously formulated by the MEVOC pilot project (2003-6). The exam is not a replacement for national systems but a complementary qualification for professionals wishing to specialise.
The exam will consist
of four parts that can be completed individually, each with a certain number of
credit points. There will be a development of a strategy paper with suggestions
on the legal regulation of the career guidance counsellor profession in European
countries that have no such legal regulation so far – on the basis of the
European best practice countries Switzerland and Ireland.
