Brain Drain Brain Gain
The Brain Drain Brain Gain (2007-2009/10) project has produced training materials to help advisors understand the effects of a mobile workforce. The training package covers the economic aspects of migration, possible negative effects such as highly qualified professionals leaving the labour market and the also social and psychological issues.
This 8-nation partnership is German led, with partners from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK.
The Brain Drain Brain Gain project work has been funded by Leonardo Transfer of Innovation. Transfer of Innovation is all about sharing ideas in vocational education and training between countries.
The material was based on 3 previously successful EU projects to transfer their innovation and adapt them to circumstances of Brain Drain Brain Gain. The projects are:
- TVC Trasnational Vocational Counselling (2005)
www.praca.gov.pl/tvc/en/index.htm - LLVC European Curriculum for LifeLong Vocational Counselling (2004/5)
- Modile- EuroCargo – Modular Distance Learning for European Mobility Career Counsellors (2004)
