TAG - Third Age Guidance

This project starting in autumn 2004 and led by the University of Glasgow, plans to:

  • research into the situations of older people - drawing up a typology of needs; 

  • research into existing methods of guidance for older people (desk research + interviews, where necessary, with experts outside the partnership); 

  • critique of such models, especially concerning their suitability for transfer to different countries in the partnership; 

  • development of models of guidance to be tested; 

  • piloting of such models with a number of older people; 

  • evaluation of the pilots, through interviews with people given guidance as well as those delivering it; 

  • refining the models
