GIRC - Guidance Innovation Relay Centres

GIRC is a transnational European project, co-funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme and led by Italy with partners in Spain, Malta, Romania and the UK.

The idea is to examine the need for and feasibility of creating local/regional centres of expertise to support the work of the Euroguidance network. Euroguidance is a network of resource centres across Europe exchanging careers information and good practice in guidance, to support mobility in Europe. We (Careers Europe) are the centre in the UK. These centres could act as intermediary organisations between the Euroguidance centre and front line delivery organisations such as Employment offices, careers centres, etc. The end product will be a potential and adaptable model for creating such an intermediary organisation.
