Adriane

Ariadne is a trans-national project involving partners in Sweden,  Italy, Romania and the UK which examined and structured the assumptions for Internet based educational and vocational guidance and to create a platform that can be used for developing such web based tools. The main result was the production of a set of guidelines highlighting the most important arguments and theories used in guidance and counselling as they should be reflected by various web sites and programs, with a direct view to the quality and ethical aspects implied by this new way of offering services in the field. The University of East London, one of the UK partners, also developed a training model for professionals based on the guidelines.  The project website can be found at: www.ariadneproject.org

The Ariadne project won the ICG's National Careers Award 2004 for "Initiatives with Overseas Partners"
