Migrant Communities Information Resource

Description

A newly designed and updated Migrant Communities Information Resource will be re-released as EISODOS on
1st July 2008. This Careers Europe database contains information for refugees, asylum seekers, EU Migrants and for those working with these groups in an advisory capacity.

There are profiles of the countries of origin of the migrants, information on their rights to live, work and study in the UK, as well as applicable rules and regulations. This information is available to print in 23 different languages.

Asylum Seekers

The MCIR has information in twelve languages covering the most commonly encountered refugee groups.

EU Migrants

The MCIR has information in eleven EU languages: Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian.

Who is it for?

The resource is aimed at advisers working with Migrants and Asylum seekers, as well as for immigrants themselves to access.

Format

It is available as an online resource accessible by registered subscribers

Future Developments

Currently available with national level information, we are pleased to be able to offer users the possibility of local versions incorporating relevant local information. we will also be happy to cover additional languages based on feedback from users.
