Guidance Exchange 2010

Careers Europe is once again organising the Guidance Exchange programme. Guidance Exchange offers one week study visits to other European countries. The visits are funded by the European Commission.  The funding covers reasonable travel costs and gives a fixed daily rate for subsistence. Guidance Exchange placements are open to guidance counsellors, personal advisers and careers teachers.  The deadline for applications is 15 November 2009.

Brain Drain Brain Gain

The Brain Drain Brain Gain (2007-2009/10) project is producing training materials to help advisors understand the effects of a mobile workforce. The training package will cover the economic aspects of migration, possible negative effects such as highly qualified professionals leaving the labour market and the also social and psychological issues.

This 8-nation partnership is German led, with partners from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the UK.

Careers Europe has recently merged with Bluetree to form an integrated commercial division of Aspire-i Ltd.

Guidance Across Europe Conference

On 30th September 2009, Careers Europe hosted our annual conference, this year we focused on the impact of Europe on Guidance.  The Keynote Speaker was Aled Williams of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills presenting the ELGPN (European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network).  Workshops were also held on the following topics

Your Help is Needed
